4 Elements to success

Personal awareness - perhaps the most undervalued aspect of recovery. Consciously or subconsciously our decisions are made based on our beliefs, values, morals, desires and need. It is the foundation that makes us who we are. It shapes our mindset and gives us meaning to our existence. So why not start here?

Physical and mental fitness - there is a direct correlation between the two. In difficult times our mental focus diminishes thus posing barriers to be active. Such is true when we are physically inactive or injured - it negatively effects our mental health. Only when we stay aware and dedicated to our mind and body do we position ourselves for continued improvement.

Financial - money is not everything, however it makes life more comfortable and provides opportunities. It is our resource to access the basic necessities of life. Those who work to live do not yet know how to be of service to others based on their strengths and values. Those who live to work are merely the opposite.

Psychosocial Recovery Coaching

It can be difficult to understand, navigate and choose the right types of helpful services to include in your NDIS plan, it can be even more difficult to understand the public mental health system (mental health act, community treatment orders, forensic treatment orders). Medications for some is part of everyday life yet there is much confusion with the various types. Further, knowing what side effects to monitor for.

As psychosocial recovery coaches, we specialise in the field of mental health, so we are able to understand and communicate with other allied health professionals, in mental health language. We break it down to a much easier way for you to understand so you can make informed decision on your recovery journey, bringing the power back to you.

We act as advisors and are here with you every step of the way. We first work alongside you to create a safety plan, care plan, wellness plan and short, medium, long terms goals. Then communicate with all the supports involved in your care (families included) so we are all working towards the same goal.

From hospital admission to discharge process, to keeping well in the community. We will advocate for what treatment you desire and will be by your side when you call upon us.

Support work

Sometimes it is the little things in life that contributes to a fulfilling life. It can be difficult going to places on your own. It can also be overwhelming managing your personal life like budgeting, medications, service appointments or simply your home.

We aim to support you through this journey and help you find your own way of living and managing your life.

We want to help bring you to places that make you feel happy, and also expand your involvement in the community. Whether it be to the movies, a restaurant, the beach, national park, a concert or a group activity, we got your back.
